From the town centre to the island's beaches, a new addition to the Pegasus website will enable visitors to keep track of progress at Pegasus from a unique viewpoint - whether they live in the new town, the local region or around the world.
The webcam takes a series of still images of Pegasus every fifteen minutes. The six images of different views, including the island, the waterfront precinct, the town centre, the yacht club marina, the lake and the bridge, are then uploaded to the website: www.pegasustown.com/webcam.
"The Pegasus webcam enables anyone who is interested in the town to keep an eye on construction progress," says Pegasus Town managing director Bob Robertson.
"It's also a great way to check out the local weather and see which of the lake's 11 beaches is the least crowded."
"This is a very useful resource for our community - whether they are living here already, or looking to make the move soon - allowing them to be continually updated on everything that is happening on-site - and there's a lot happening at Pegasus."
With a number of Pegasus' attractions and amenities already completed, such as the recently opened Pegasus Golf Course and the Pegasus Convenience Centre, construction during 2010 will focus on the town's temperature-controlled swimming bay, rock hotpools and waterfront pavilion.
With settlement completed on over 550 residential sections, a large number of homes are now underway, with new construction starting weekly.
"After a number of years of planning and development, having so much of the community now taking shape is an incredibly satisfying and enjoyable part of the process," says Bob Robertson.
"So it's great that we are able to share the excitement with everyone through the webcam."
"Of course, the best way to appreciate everything our town has to offer is for visitors to come out and experience the Pegasus lifestyle firsthand. But if you are not close by, our new webcam is a great way to keep in touch with all the progress."
