Industrial action including strikes continues today at some of the six polytechnics covered by the ITP MECA. Union members resumed industrial action earlier this week after mediation between them and their employers failed to resolve the long-running dispute.

Tevita Koroi, president of Fijian Teachers Association and president of the Council of Pacific Education (COPE) will speak at the TEU annual conference next week. Mr Koroi is being unfairly victimised by the Fijian government says TEU president Tom Ryan.
