The Greens Have More Klout

Read More:

The New Zealand Greens Party @NZGreens has the most Klout, on Twitter. Prime Minister John Key @JohnKeyPM has the most klout of the party leaders. But Key is also the least engaging.

Both the @NZNationalParty and @JohnKeyPM Twitter accounts are very one sided. There are no conversations, or engagement, just announcements, broadcasts.

On the other hand the @NZGreens and @ACTParty MP's are far more active, engaging and conversational. Labour's Clare Curran @ClareCurranMP is a popular tweeter, active in the evenings mostly and has a high level of engagement.

Politicians who consistantly tweet news, information and opinions throughout the day can extend their brand voice beyond the group of people following them. When other people retweet their posts or discuss topics those conversations can reach people not currently following. Pretty useful if you're interested in building your reputation ahead of the election later this year.
