"It's not often I go into bat these days for the Maori Party. But after receiving several calls from concerned Maori Party members, someone has got to say something about 'Redneck Brash'" states Mana leader Hone Harawira.

"Like I said back in 2005 Don your sentiments regarding Maori belittle you as an elderly gentleman. Your attempts to booster ACT in the polls by riding on the xenophobic fears of Joe Bloggs in the street will not work this time round. People can see your ad for what it is - a pathetic attempt to make people believe that Maori receive privileged rights and that the boot needs to be put into the indigenous people of this country so that rich people like yourself can feel better about themselves. If anything Don, Maori do not have their rights recognised enough".

"As for your unconvincing effort to distance yourself from your previous spin doctor who devised the iwi/kiwi billboards, voters are now waking up to the true intent of your 'Maori-bashing' exercise. Maori and Pakeha will not stand idly by why your people accuse Maori of living in the 'Stone Age' or that we 'ate eyeballs' and that we should be grateful for 'being civilised by the British'. Perhaps Don we should remember that the British had a liking for inflicting punishment via 'hung, strung and quartering' people and that the British believed that they were superior to all indigenous races and therefore believed in colonising people in an attempt to make the world 'monocultural'. Such sentiments being expressed by a person who advises you Don makes me really believe that you are a dinosaur who has no place in politics".

"I hope that voters come November will make that decision for themselves".
