The next public open session on the District Plan Review will take place in Queenstown on Thursday 9 August, 2012.
The sessions, which are looking at a number of district plan issues for the districts main centres, are being held in association with Shaping Our Future and Queenstown Lakes District Council senior policy advisor Ralph Henderson said they've been pleased with the response so far.
"The first session was held in Wanaka at the end of July and around 25 people came along during the event to ask questions or provide us with feedback."
"We're hoping that Queenstowners will be equally as interested in the issues affecting their town centre."
Mr Henderson said the sessions were very informal with the policy and planning team and local councillors available to chat about the issues and gather comment.
The Queenstown consultation would focus on issues identified in the Queenstown Town Centre Strategy to help enable a vibrant town centre, formalising growth boundaries for Queenstown and promoting good residential development. People would also be welcome to talk about any other District Plan matters they wanted to raise.
The drop in session will take place on Thursday 9 August, 2012 4pm - 7pm in the Council Chambers, 10 Gorge Road, Queenstown.
