Preliminary results for the Riccarton-Wigram by-election show Natalie Bryden is currently the highest polling candidate to represent the Ward as a Community Board member with 4,532 votes.
Voting closed today at 12 noon (Friday, 22 June 2012). This result is based upon a voting turnout rate of 28.61 percent. The progress result does not include the 15 special votes returned before voting closed.
Four candidates stood for election for the position of Riccarton-Wigram Community Board member in the by-election.
According to the prelimimary result, 12,591 votes were received in total - 4,532 votes were received for Natalie Bryden; 3,646 for Bob Shearing; 2,824 for John Stringer and 1,542 for Peter Yearbury.
Final results will be made available next week.
