US Tourists Rescued From Spooners Range

2 American tourists were flown to Nelson hospital at 1321 today 28/12/2010 by the Summit Rescue Helicopter.

The pair both travelling in the same car were heading South on SH6 just past Spooner's Saddle. They collided with another car heading in the opposite direction.

Flooding affected many areas in Marlborough following heavy rainfall this morning: Rai Valley, Havelock, Canvastown, Norhtbank and the Marlborough Sounds have been particularly hard hit.
