Northland Police have arrested a female followng an investigation into the violent home invasion incident in Kawakawa on Wednesday 9th January.

A 92-year-old female victim was attacked before two offenders allegedly stole property from her address.

Man charged over Otara incident

Police have arrested and charged a 23-year-old male in relation to an earlier shooting incident in Otara on December 30, 2018.

The man will face a charge of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

He is due to appear in the Manukau District Court at a later date.

Police make arrest in Otara homicide investigation

Police have arrested and charged a man after a homicide investigation was launched in Otara last night.

Police were called to an address on Otara Road at 6.50pm on Sunday, where a 62-year-old man was found deceased.

A 44-year-old man has now been charged with murder.
