Auckland, July 23 NZPA - Taranaki and Hawke's Bay today unveiled ambitious bids to host the new Super 15 rugby franchise in 2011, though Australia or South Africa appear more logical locations for the expansion team.
The New Zealand Rugby Union has received, on behalf of the SANZAR joint venture, two Expressions of Interest (EOI) from organisations wanting to establish the 15th Super Rugby team when the competition expands to include an additional side in 2011.
