Horowhenua District Council has announced Level Two water restrictions for residents connected to town water supplies in Foxton and Foxton Beach, effective from 4 January 2018.

SH1 closed southbound between Northcote and Onewa ramps due to flooding

The NZ Transport Agency has closed Auckland’s Northern Motorway, State Highway 1, due to flooding, southbound between Northcote Off-ramp and Onewa On-ramp. A detour is in place via local roads. Motorists are advised to expect significant delays while the high tide passes.

Upper South Island, SH1 Kaikoura remains closed

The NZ Transport Agency kept State Highway 1 on either side of Kaikoura closed this morning after minor rockfalls and surface flooding in several places.
