The Auckland Aces and Hearts and Wellington Firebirds and Blaze were left frustrated by the weather today, as the double-header matches set for Eden Park Outer Oval were abandoned without a ball bowled.

The Blaze re-gain top spot from the Canterbury Magicians with the abandonment.

The Firebirds and Blaze will be in action again on 28 December as they face the Sparks and Volts at the Basin Reserve, while the Auckland teams travel to New Plymouth to take on the Stags and Hinds on 29 December.
