What could say ‘Kiwi Summer’ more than a fun afternoon, lying in the sun and watching cricket? Only a fun afternoon where your favourite sporting icons from New Zealand’s two most popular codes go head to head in a high-velocity T20 cricket match!

Tomorrow, Friday 25 January, it’ll be fan-central at Hagley Park in Christchurch with local and international cricket vs rugby legends - led by Stephen Fleming and Kieran Read respectively - facing off in the inaugural Hot Spring Spas T20 Christchurch Black Clash in Association with Swisse.

Swisse Ambassador and rugby legend Kieran Read says he can’t wait for the opportunity to pick up a cricket bat again after having played in the premier league when he was a teenager.

"This is going to be an awesome day out for all the family, and a great opportunity to have some fun, relax into that summer vibe and spend some quality time with friends and family," he says.

Swisse supports a holistic approach to Kiwis’ health and wellbeing with a complete range of wellness products, and is particularly focused on the benefits of mindfulness, regular movement and good nutrition - all things critical to the performance of our sporting heroes.

"I have been a Swisse Ambassador for three years and they are an awesome company that is really focused on wellbeing, happiness and peak performance for all New Zealanders. Most people are juggling to fit as much as they can into the day - but it’s also about being able to celebrate life every day. Sometimes you just need a bit of extra support to do that.

"Diet and exercise are important, meditation and sleep are important and, sometimes, some extra help from quality, natural vitamins and supplements can be really useful. I take the Swisse Men’s Ultivite multivitamin as part of my daily routine," he says.

Tineke Madgwick, Marketing Manager for Swisse New Zealand, says that helping New Zealanders perform their best - whatever their chosen field - is part of the company’s ethos.

"On or off the field, we want to help New Zealanders be the best they can be. We are all about supporting you to be healthier and happier so you can win at whatever you’re doing, whatever your game," she says.

Hagley Park gates open at 2.30pm with first innings at 4.15pm tomorrow. There will be a Swisse Wellness half-time competition to win $5000 worth of travel. Register at the Swisse "Destination Happiness" before half-time to be in with a chance to win.
