Canterbury will play their first home game of the Mitre 10 Cup this Sunday afternoon, and Head Coach Joe Maddock has made minimal changes to the side that was defeated by Waikato last Saturday night in Hamilton.

The backline remains unchanged, and there are just two changes in the forwards this week. In the front row, Daniel Lienert-Brown and Harry Allan swap so that Lienert-Brown takes the starting spot at prop. Whetukamokamo Douglas also joins the run-on side this week on the blindside, meaning Reed Prinsep will move to lock for this game.

The only changes to the reserves bench will see Crusaders tighthead, Michael Alaalatoa, set to play his first match in red and black, and Will Tucker move in to the match day 23 in the number 19 jersey, replacing Cullen Grace.

Canterbury Rugby will also acknowledge clubs across the province at Sunday's match, with junior members from 20 clubs to take part in a pre-match Club March Past.

Kick off in Canterbury's match against Tasman is 2:05pm, Sunday 18 August, at Orangetheory Stadium in Christchurch. Tickets are available via Ticket Rocket.
