Dunedin, Nov 25 NZPA - Bad light has stopped play shortly after a resumption following a rain delay on day two of the first cricket test between New Zealand and Pakistan at University Oval here today.
New Zealand were 404 for eight in their first innings, the latest delay occuring two balls after captain Daniel Vettori was dismissed for 99.
Shane Bond was unbeaten on eight and Iain O'Brien was not out two when the batsmen were offered the light.
More than three hours were lost to a rain delay when showers swept the ground early in the middle session.
