The SKYCITY Breakers play their final game at the iiNet Championship pre-season tournament in Melbourne against the Sydney Kings at 6pm tonight NZT.

The two time defending iiNet Champions proved too strong for the Cairns Taipans last night after earlier beating the Townsville Crocodiles, making it two wins from two with a 83-75 win over the Snakes, with Andrej Lemanis giving 8 available players fairly even court time throughout the game.

Mika Vukona was rested for the entire game while Tom Abercrombie also took no part in proceedings as he continues to manage his return from ankle surgery in the off season.

The win over the Snakes was built on strong performances from the bigs, with Alex Pledger picking up 18 points and 5 boards while Will Hudson continues to fit into his new club with 17 points and 5 boards. Cedric Jackson posted impressive numbers also, with 19 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals to his name in an energetic performance. The SKYCITY Breakers shot 29 of 36 attempts from the free throw line.
