After 14 weeks of exciting domestic rugby, Canterbury and Wellington will battle for Air New Zealand Cup honours in the final to be played in Christchurch next Saturday.
In a repeat match up of last year's final, Wellington will face 2008 Air New Zealand Cup winners Canterbury, after winning their semifinal against Ranfurly Shield holders Southland, in Wellington tonight. It will be Wellington's fourth straight year in the finals and the Lions will be looking to finally take championship honours.
Canterbury earned themselves a home final, after a convincing win over the Hawke's Bay Magpies in Christchurch last night.
