Central Pulse Coach And CEO Confirmed For 2010

Media Release - 5 June 2009 The Central Pulse Franchise Board today confirmed the appointment of Yvette McCausland-Durie as head coach of the Central Pulse for the 2010 ANZ Championship season and also announced Bridget Abernethy as the new Chief Executive for the Central Pulse.

Central Pulse Chair Nigel Kirkpatrick said the Franchise was delighted to secure such important franchise roles well in advance of the 2010 season.

"The Pulse Board felt it really important for us to have a well established team unit going forward for the 2010 season we are thrilled to be able to secure such top talent in both areas of the franchise", he said.

"Yvette has done a lot for the Central Pulse in the short time she has had with the team and she has shown she has a strong aptitude for developing players and creating a great team environment we have absolute faith in her ability to build a competitive team for 2010."

McCausland-Durie said she was thrilled to have her role as head coach of the Central Pulse renewed.

"It has been a great first year working with the team and I am really excited to be able to take it to the next level and build on this year's experiences in order that we can bring together the most competitive Central Pulse team to compete in the 2010 ANZ Championship," she said.

New Central Pulse Chief Executive Bridget Abernethy has been working with the franchise in a marketing and sponsorship role during 2009 and will begin her new role as Chief Executive on July 1.
