Colin de Grandhomme provides the only change in the Aces side named to face the </a> Wellington Firebirds in Round 6 of the Plunket Shield starting tomorrow at Colin Maiden Park.
De Grandhomme returns from Blackcaps duty to take opener Jeet Raval's position in the twelve, and the Aces will welcome back a man who has already posted two centuries and a fifty in the Plunket Shield this season, and who is their top scorer in the competition.
Outright results in all games from the last round mean that the onus is on the Aces to keep playing attacking cricket to pick up the points that will peg back leaders the Northern Knights.
That doesn't faze Aces coach Paul Strang, who believes that emphasis is something that suits his side.
"The change in the points system this season means that the outright result is pretty much all important now. I think we've got a team that really likes to push the game forward at every opportunity so chasing those points fits pretty well with our mentality."
