Wellington, June 23 NZPA - New Zealand's Emerging Tall Ferns routed the host Northern Mariana Islands 139-27 at the Oceania women's basketball tournament in Saipan today.

Miriam Slatter, Miranda Caldwell and Zoe Kensington all scored 20-plus points as the New Zealand under-21 team secured their second big win of the tournament.

Slatter scored more points than the Northern Mariana Islands players combined, pouring in a game-high 29 points in just 16 minutes on court.
