Quote from Craig Dowd: "I am excited about the opportunity to coach North Harbour in the Air New Zealand Cup Competition and are really looking forward to the challenge. We have some good players and very exciting young talent coming through the grades. I enjoyed my time away from New Zealand rugby and the opportunity to gain experience at the highest level of Northern Hemisphere rugby, working with and learning from great coaches like Ian McGeechan, Shaun Edwards and Warren Gatland. I am also very excited about working alongside Jeff Wilson, who has impressed lots of very experience rugby people including myself with his coaching style, passion and delivery. He already has a huge amount of rugby experience and will complement my own beliefs about the game". Quote from Jeff Wilson: 'I am excited about the opportunity to work with Craig and the North Harbour Rugby Union in 2009 and beyond. We both aspire to improve the performance of the Air New Zealand Cup side and assist the development of rugby throughout the region.'
