October 31st 2009 - With this last race being a complete dead rubber for both the drivers and constructors championship, it could end up proving to be either a boring and uneventful race as people have nothing to fight for, or it could see a few interesting fights going on as people have a bit of fun in the last race of the season. However, having said that, there are still a few things to play for, as even though 1st place has been decided, some of the lower teams would still love the chance to pick up some points to add to their season's total.

McLaren and Ferrari have had a season that some teams would love to have had, but for those two high flying teams it has been a disappointing season.  Nevertheless, as they are long time rivals, the one point lead that McLaren has over Ferrari, I’m sure, will be something still worth fighting over. Even though they will only be fighting over 3rd and 4th place, I can’t see the powerhouses not fighting for the mental boost of finishing above their rival going into what they hope will be a much better 2010 season.

In the driver’s championship, 2nd place is still up for grabs with Sebastian Vettel leading Rubens Barrichello by two points. Again both are guaranteed a top three finish and a shiney, though much smaller, trophy for their season but the mental boost of a 2nd place would help a lot leading into next season. Especially for Vettel, as like Button, he’s had an amazing season and 2nd place would be a huge result for him and his team.  With Barrichello being the 'older' statesmen on the track though, picking up a 2nd place this late into his career would be a nice way to end his season.
