"The Goose" Goes Easy On Adam Scott

It’s been suggested that Adam Scott’s fall from 3rd to 62nd in the world rankings is partially due to having his mind on other things. Like his relationship with a tennis star. However according to Mike Walker at Press Tent
“He’s [Scott] sure it wasn't his relationship with tennis player Ana Ivanovic”

Now here’s the bit I liked from “The Goose”, "Scotty's still young and he has a lot of hot chicks on his mind…I'm sure once he gets over that his game will be back."

Pray tell us Retief, at what age did you get over having chicks on your mind?
Must be kinda difficult playing tournament golf when there’s lots of pretty chicks viewing you and your graceful swing.

Richard Hinds at the SMH, looking for answers to Scott’s slump writes, “There is a hint of chicken and egg when Scott discusses the reason for his free fall. Did his poor ball-striking put pressure on his sometimes suspect putting? Did a misfiring blade create pressure to knock his approaches closer to the pin?”

As I write this the folks at European PGA advise, “World Number One Tiger Woods has torn Kingston Heath to shreds in his first competitive round at Melbourne's famed sandbelt layout to seize a share of the clubhouse lead midway through the opening day's proceedings of the 2009 JBWere Masters.

Stalked by a dedicated gallery that started at around 10,000 and swelled to almost double that size as the morning advanced, Woods fired a sensational six under 66, a benchmark that was later matched by Australia's James Nitties and 21-year-old South African Branden Grace.

Surprise, surprise, after 15 holes on Wednesday at the Kiwi Challenge at Cape Kidnappers play was halted for the day when gusts reached 50 mph.

SPOILER warning (For those who’d rather not know and wait for US TV coverage)
AP Report: Anthony Kim has won the Kiwi Challenge despite making a bogey in a playoff, beating Sean O'Hair to win the $1 million check at Cape Kidnappers.

Thought for the day generated by talk of Cape Kidnappers.
The NZ Weather web site metvuw.com comes highly recommended as an accurate short range weather forecast site for golfers planning a game at Cape Kidnappers.
Also has some great (non golf) photographs.
