India captain Jhulan Goswami has reclaimed the number-one bowling spot in the Reliance Mobile ICC Women's ODI Rankings for bowlers after a good series against England which her side won 3-2.
Goswami took 11 wickets in the series, including 3-16 in the series opener in Bangalore, which has helped her leapfrog the Australia duo of Shelley Nitschke and Lisa Sthalekar. Seven months ago, Goswami had surrendered her number-one position to England's Holly Colvin.
Goswami's team-mate Gouher Sultana is the biggest mover in the latest rankings which were release on Tuesday. The 31-year-old left-arm spinner from Hyderabad was the most successful bowler of the series with 12 wickets and has been rewarded with a jump of 12 places. She now sits in a career-best 19th position.
England's Katherine Brunt also had an excellent series with the ball which is reflected in her ranking. The 24-year-old fast bowler from Barnsley took 10 wickets in the series and has climbed one place to fourth position.
Rumeli Dhar has also achieved her career-best fifth ranking after a series haul of nine wickets while Jenny Gunn has improved by two places as she now occupies 18th position after claiming eight wickets in the series.
In the Reliance Mobile ICC Women's ODI Rankings for batters, former India captain Mithali Raj has strengthened her position at the top after an outstanding series. The 27-year-old batter scored 287 runs with four half-centuries and has opened up a 150-point gap with second-ranked Claire Taylor of England after the ICC Women's Cricketer of the Year 2009 missed the India trip.
Amita Sharma is the other batter to make an upward movement as the 27-year-old is now in 15th spot after jumping three places.
For England, Ebony Rainford-Brent was its leading run-getter in the series with 120 runs which has helped her vault 22 places to 33rd spot while captain Charlotte Edwards was the third leading run-getter in the series with 114 runs which has helped her to extend her advantage over sixth-ranked Alex Blackwell of Australia.
The only change in the Reliance Mobile ICC Women's ODI Rankings for all-rounders is Amita Sharma, who has returned to the top five. The list is headed by Australia's Shelley Nitschke with Lisa Sthalekar in second position.
