Kahui To Miss All Blacks Season After Shoulder Injury

All Blacks centre Richard Kahui is to miss the All Blacks season this year to undergo surgery on an injured shoulder.

All Blacks Doctor Deb Robinson said Kahui had been carrying an injury to his left shoulder for some time but had been able to play. However, the injury had been aggravated in the Rebel Sport Super 14 final between the Chiefs and Bulls last weekend.

"He has a labral tear in his left shoulder and a scan yesterday revealed that he requires surgery," Dr Robinson said.

Dr Robinson said, as a result, Kahui would be out of rugby for up to six months.

A replacement player for the All Blacks will be named in due course.
