McCullum Takes Five Wickets In NZ A's Opening India Game

Wellington, Aug 10 NZPA - Offspinner Nathan McCullum shone as he collected a five-wicket haul on the first day of New Zealand A's opening cricket tour game in India .

The Tamil Nadu Cricket Association 11 won the toss and batted first in the two-day warm-up match in Chepauk, Chennai.

New Zealand took five wickets in the hour after lunch, and the Indian side was dismissed in the final session after some short bowling allowed them to post a total of 293.

McCullum took five for 85 from 22 overs, and was well supported by Kane Williamson, who finished with three for 42.

New Zealand will bat today.
