Mid Canterbury will meet Wanganui in the final of the Meads Cup and West Coast will play North Otago in the final of the Lochore Cup after the completion of Heartland Championship semifinals this afternoon.

Mid Canterbury beat South Canterbury 19-17 in Ashburton while Wanganui got past Poverty Bay 48-13 at Cooks Gardens, in the Meads Cup semifinals.

In the Lochore Cup semifinals, West Coast beat Buller 53-22 in Greymouth and North Otago beat King Country 31-27 in Oamaru.
