Auckland - The battle for New Zealand's futsal honours shifts to Auckland this weekend for series two of the 2011/12 ASB National Futsal League.
Hosted at ASB Stadium Kohimarama seven federation-based teams compete for national honours with Auckland Football's AFF-East City Futsal leading the standings after dominating December's opening series in Dunedin with a perfect four wins from four matches.
The third and final series takes place at Wellington's ASB Sports Centre on March 17 and 18.
Mainland Futsal, the surprise package of Series One at the Edgar Centre will be eager to bring their form north while last season's top ranked New Zealand team Capital Futsal will be desperate to make up for a disappointing campaign to date and improve on their current fifth ranking.
Mainland player-coach Jakub Sinkora also leads the golden boot race with five goals ahead of Futsal Whites captain Marvin Eakins, Manawatu's Greg O'Connor, Hawke's Bay's Nat Wright, and Eakins' Auckland teammate Bakr Al-Saudi who each netted four times.
