Wellington, March 18 NZPA - Trent Boult returns from injury to replace Brent Arnel for Northern Districts in their Plunket Shield cricket match starting against Otago in Whangarei on Saturday.

The left-arm seamer has struggled with a stress fracture in his back but a positive MRI scan result has seen him return to full bowling and he takes the place of Arnel, who is on test duty for New Zealand.

Opening batsman BJ Watling is also in the New Zealand squad and his place is likely to fall to Michael Parlane.
