Colombo, Aug 12 NZPA - New Zealand won the toss and elected to bat first in a three-day cricket match against a Sri Lanka Development 11 at Nondescripts Cricket Club here today.

New Zealand made one change from the side who drew their tour opener against another local selection last week, bringing in seamer Iain O'Brien for Daryl Tuffey.

The Development side feature four current or former Sri Lankan internationals in middle order batsman Tillakaratne Dilshan, opener Upul Tharanga, wicketkeeper Prasanna Jayawardene and pace bowler Dhamika Prasad.

New Zealand: Daniel Vettori (captain), Tim McIntosh, Martin Guptill, Daniel Flynn, Ross Taylor, Jesse Ryder, Jacob Oram, Brendon McCullum, Jeetan Patel, Iain O'Brien, Chris Martin.

Sri Lanka Development 11: Tillakaratne Dilshan (captain), Upul Tharanga, Dinesh Chandimal, Nadeera Nawak, Prasanna Jayawardene, Dhamika Prasad, Nuwan Pradeep, Suvraj Randir, Seekuge Prasanna, Tharanga Lakshitha, Jeevan Mendis.
