Wellington, Feb 28 NZPA - New Zealand captain Daniel Vettori won the toss and chose to bat first in the second Twenty20 cricket international against Australia at AMI Stadium in Christchurch today.
New Zealand made one change from the six-wicket defeat in the tour opener in Wellington on Friday, with paceman Tim Southee replacing Daryl Tuffey.
Australia made two changes to their winning side, with paceman Ryan Harris replacing Friday's man-of-the-match Mitchell Johnson and Travis Birt in for allrounder Shane Watson.
The weather was fine and warm with a start expected on time at 6pm (NZT).
