The New Zealand women's Emerging Players XI is set to take on the England Women's cricket team in one 50 over and two Twenty20 matches ahead of the White Ferns clash against the English later this month.
A 14 player squad was named for the Emerging players side, with a primarily youthful presence in the team.
The England squad arrived in Christchurch on Tuesday and play their first match against the Emerging XI tomorrow in a one-off 50 over match due to begin at 10:30am.
That will be followed by a pair of Twenty20 matches on the 13th and 14th, with both games now scheduled to start at 12:00pm. All matches between the two sides will be played at Bert Sutcliffe Oval in Lincoln.
The games will be used as a warm-up for the England team as they acclimatise to New Zealand conditions before they begin their series against the White Ferns.
For New Zealand it's a chance to give fringe players a taste of top level cricket, as well as give other players an opportunity to take on new roles, such as Maddy Green who will be captain the side.
The White Ferns first play England in a Twenty20 match at Westpac Stadium in Wellington.
