Napier, Dec 13 NZPA - Pakistan are 128 without loss in their second innings at stumps on the third day of the third cricket test against New Zealand at McLean Park here today, a deficit of 120 runs.
Openers Salman Butt and Imran Farhat negotiated the 56 overs available to score 66 and 55 respectively.
New Zealand earlier made 471 in reply to Pakistan's first innings of 223.
Captain Daniel Vettori topscored with 134 while Daryl Tuffey was not out 80, his maiden test half-century.
Legspinner Danish Kaneria led the Pakistan attack with figures of seven for 168 from 53 overs.
