Pakistan 64-2 At Stumps On Day Two, Lead NZ By 229

Wellington, Dec 4 NZPA - Pakistan were 64 for two in their second innings at stumps on day two of the second cricket test against New Zealand at the Basin Reserve here today, an overall lead of 229.

Captain Mohammad Yousuf was on 10 and Misbah-ul-Haq was unbeaten on one.

Salman Butt, 18, and fellow opener Imran Farhat, 35, were the wickets to fall, both to Iain O'Brien.

Earlier New Zealand were dismissed for 99 in reply to Pakistan's first innings of 264.

Mohammad Asif, four for 40, and Danish Kaneria, three for six were the leading wicket takers.
