Brisbane, Australia, May 06, 2009 - Pirtek Kiwis coach Stephen Kearney has named a starting line-up that shows just two changes from last year's World Cup final for Friday night's one-off test against Australia at Suncorp Stadium.
The backline comprises the same seven players used in the 34-20 World Cup victory with only a positional swap in the halves where captain Benji Marshall will start at halfback with Nathan Fien wearing the No 6 jersey.
The two changes in the starting forward pack are both in the front row where former captain Roy Asotasi replaces retired World Cup-winning skipper Nathan Cayless and Issac Luke is named as the starting hooker with Thomas Leuluai not being brought back from England this time.
The back row combination remains unchanged with Bronson Harrison and David Fa'alogo in the second row and Jeremy Smith at loose forward. While Smith has an ankle injury he is optimistic he'll be right to line up on Friday night.
Greg Eastwood is the only survivor from the World Cup bench with Melbourne's Jeff Lima replacing injured front rower Sam Rapira. Winger Jason Nightingale and centre/second rower Iosia Soliola have been handed the remaining two interchange spots.
