NZC Chief Executive Justin Vaughan has commended Neil Broom and Aaron Redmond for acknowledging their involvement in an on-tour incident with the New Zealand A team in Chennai, India in August.
Vaughan said both players accepted that they had acted inappropriately and breached the security protocols on the tour.
"With the intense scrutiny on security and safety issues in the sub-continent it was disappointing that the players had not observed the protocols that were in place for their own protection.
"The public spotlight on this incident has also been difficult for all the players.
"However, the incident was dealt with thoroughly and appropriately at the time. It was a confidential process, and New Zealand Cricket considers the matter closed."
