Wellington, July NZPA - Tasman have retained 19 of last year's squad for the upcoming Air NZ Cup rugby championship and included a sprinkling of imports from other centers.

Among the newcomers with previous Air NZ Cup experience are Daniel Crichton, from Counties Manukau, Anthony Elisala, from Auckland, James Kamana, from Waikato and Manawatu's Matty James.

All Black Ben Franks heads the line up of returning Crusader Super 14 players such as Kahn Fotuali'i, Kade Poki, Quentin MacDonald, Jonathan Poff, Blair Cook and Dan Perrin.

The Air NZ Cup rookies are Hamish Cochrane, James Foster, Shaun Begg and Ammon Matuauto.
