22 June 2008 - Try-scoring doubles from first-grader Sonny Fai and centre Rusty Bristow propelled the Vodafone Junior Warriors to fourth spot in the National Youth Competition after swamping Manly 38-10 at Mt Smart Stadium today (Sunday). Fai, who has dropped back to the under-20 competition after nine NRL appearances, had his two tries in the first spell while Bristow had one in each half. Fullback Kevin Locke totalled 14 points from a superb try and five goals to take his season's tally to 94. The win was the fifth big victory on end for the Vodafone Junior Warriors. The sequence started with a 40-10 win over the Sydney Roosters followed by a 42-22 margin against Newcastle, 31-4 against South Sydney and 38-16 against Cronulla. It means the Tony Iro-coached side now has 20 points from eight wins, two draws and four losses plus a bye (with one still to come). Match details:
