Frontline players Meads and John Palavi will feature in trials action for the first time this season when two Vodafone Junior Warriors squads have another two hit-outs this weekend.

The trio, all key figures in last year's NYC premiership-winning campaign, will line up against Auckland's Fox Memorial champions the Howick Hornets at Cornwall Park tomorrow (2.30pm kick-off). They sat out last weekend's trials.

Joining them will be 2011 team-mate Sio Siua Taukeiaho, who had a run with the Vodafone Warriors in their NRL trial against Gold Coast last Saturday.

Other 2011 Vodafone Junior Warriors named to face Howick are props Donald Tony, Ligi Sao, Toka Likiliki and Nathaniel Peteru plus winger Viliami Lolohea, who scored two tries in last Saturday's 28-all draw with the Otahuhu Leopards. Quite a few of the other players named also appeared against the Leopards at North Harbour Stadium.

A second squad of Vodafone Junior Warriors contenders will turn out on Sunday against the Manurewa Marlins, the trial again be played at Cornwall Park (2.30pm kick-off).

Included in the side are the club's 2011 Young NYC Player of the Year Siliva Havili, utility Eko Malu and prop Visesio Setefano.
