BLACKCAPS captain Daniel Vettori has confirmed he will make a guest appearance for the Queensland Bulls in the Australian 2009-10 KFC Twenty20 "Big Bash" competition.
Vettori has agreed to be a guest overseas player with the Bulls for their match on 13 January against NSW at Homebush. He would also be also available for the preliminary final on 19 January if Queensland qualify for the game.
Vettori's appearance for the Bulls has been cleared by his Northern Districts association. There is no clash of dates, and he will meet all playing commitments with the Northern Knights in the domestic HRV Cup Twenty20 competition.
NZC Chief Executive Justin Vaughan said he was comfortable with Vettori's guest appearance. "It's a great opportunity for Dan and New Zealand Cricket is comfortable to release him on the basis that it will not conflict with his commitments to the HRV Cup," said Vaughan.
