Wellington, March 12 NZPA - Wellington notched their second National Basketball League (NBL) win in a row when they beat Christchurch 85-72 in Christchurch last night.
The competition leaders, powered by 33 points from American guard Darryl Hudson, were untroubled throughout and led 44-35 at halftime.
Hudson snatched 15 points in the last quarter including two three-pointers to seal the win.
Fellow-American Nick Horvath provided good support with 14 points but was most effective recovering possession with 16 rebounds.
Paora Winitana was Christchurch's best shooter with 20 points.
Christchurch will play Otago in Dunedin tomorrow while Wellington travel to Nelson to play the Giants, also tomorrow.
