The Wellington Phoenix Football Club has accepted suspensions handed down to the three players sent off in Saturday’s pre-season game against the Newcastle Jets in Weston.
The FFA’s Match Review Panel met today and suspended Manny Muscat for four games, Ben Sigmund for three games and captain Andrew Durante for two games.
The suspensions come into effect immediately and will be served on the Phoenix’s four-game tour of India, giving them a full complement of players, apart from those injured, to start their Hyundai A-League campaign against Sydney FC on October 6.
