Wellington, Feb 2 NZPA - Sunnie Chan is in line to make his one day debut for the Wellington Firebirds against Northern Districts in Wellington tomorrow.
The 27-year-old, who previously represented Canterbury over two seasons between 2005 and 2007, was named in the Wellington squad for the round six match of the domestic one day competition today.
Also set to make his one day debut for the team is international player Owais Shah, who has stayed in Wellington following the Twenty20 championship to play the remainder of the one day competition throughout February.
Opening bowler Mark Gillespie, who is back after rehabilitating from a back injury, will play in his first match for Wellington this season if selected, as will all-rounder Harry Boam.
Meanwhile, Matthew Bell remains out of contention after suffering a broken toe in a recent Twenty20 match.
