Production team Bloodhound SuperSonic Car (SSC), aiming to break the 1,000mph land speed mark in 2012 have been showing off their Supercar at the Farnborough International Airshow in England.

Definately winning a spot prize at the show for ‘original idea’ – a jet fighter that does not leave the ground – it is uncertain however if any of the worlds military will be interested. I suppose being able to ‘fly under the radar’ is a selling point.

If anyone is interested out there here are the specs:

Acceleration - from 0-1,000mph (1,610km/h) in 42 seconds.

Length: 12.8 metres

Power: Eurofighter Typhoon jet engine and a falcon rocket giving 47,000 pounds of thrust.

Weight: 6 tonnes

‘But what about the state of the roads’ I hear you say. Griff's advice? write to your Member of Parliament. They are bound to listen.
