Auckland, Dec 16 NZPA - Joseph Reekers' change of plea has lifted a great weight off the family of Auckland murder victim Marie Jamieson, say police.

Reekers changed his plea in the High Court at Auckland today and admitted murdering Ms Jamieson in February, 2001.
