Vodafone Warriors fans can now get even closer to their sporting heroes with the release of a special Vodafone Warriors smartphone.

The limited edition Vodafone Warriors 858 is a powerful Android based smartphone giving fans access to exclusive content about their favourite league team.

The smartphone comes preloaded with mobile applications and content fans will love including:

- A Vodafone Warriors fan app with collectible player cards which users can unlock at Vodafone Warriors games

- Exclusive team photos

- Video message from Simon Mannering

- 2GB SD memory card

- Free Vodafone Warriors cooler bag

The ultra slim Vodafone Warriors 858 has a 2GB SD memory card, 2.8" capacitive touch screen, built in WiFi and operates on the Vodafone 3G extended network. It runs Android 2.2 software and has DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance, the ability to move movies, photos, music and other media from device to device).

Vodafone Warriors chief executive Wayne Scurrah says that this device will bring true fans even closer to the action.

"The Vodafone Warriors 858 is brilliant for Vodafone Warriors members and fans," he said. "They can now access all their game day content, player fan cards and team information from a competitively priced Vodafone Warriors branded smartphone."

The Vodafone Warriors 858 is available now free of charge with a Smart 2 24 month plan, or $249 for the handset only. It is only available in Vodafone stores (excluding multi retailers) from today for a limited time.
