Bio

It would be a lie to say that Brad’s love of movies started at a young age. Up until an embarrassingly mature age the inside of his VCR saw little else than a much-loved cassette of The Lion King. It took the film department at the University of Otago to thrust some semblance of movie taste into him and carve a genuine film-loving niche in what has to be said was previously a sport-addicted mind. Days spent studying the great American and European filmmakers and reviewing modern movies for student magazines has been the dream lifestyle over the past five years for this student of cinema.

  • Is Football Stealing Rugby's Crown?

Over 32,000 for an A-League football match in this rugby-obsessed country? And it’s not exactly like there’s nothing else to do in Wellington; the city’s March calendar is busier than Tiger Woods’ publicist right now. So why so popular?

  • Heroes And Villians In The NRL Playoffs

The Eels season up until Sunday night had played out like a Hollywood movie.

  • Title Fight In The NRL Playoffs

  • NZ Warriors - A Season In Review

For eight teams, September is a time to look ahead to the upcoming weeks of finals football, but for the Warriors it’s time to sift through the smoking wreckage of a season in the hopes of finding the black box that will explain exactly what went so horribly wrong this year.

  • Movie Review - Sunshine Cleaning

Sunshine Cleaning has all the ingredients of a horrendously depressing movie and in the wrong hands it would have been just that, but we’re spared by a couple of fine performances from its female leads.

  • Movie Review - Inglourious Basterds

Arguably his most ambitious project yet, Inglourious Basterds is proof that Quentin Tarantino is one of the masters of his craft.

  • Movie Review - Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is like an out of control party; loud, rambunctious and messy but afterwards you know you’ve had a good time.

  • 'Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen' Is Here

It’s been two years since Optimus Prime and his crew of hip robotic superheroes graced the screens in what was literally one of the most explosive blockbusters of 2007.
