    A 67-year-old woman died after being hit by a car on State Highway 12, Ohaeawai, Northland, shortly after 11pm last night.

    The Serious Crash Unit is investigating.

  • Person dies after car goes into water at Kairaki Beach

    Police were notified at around 9.45pm last night that a car had been seen going into the water at Kairaki Beach.

    The car was fully submerged when emergency services arrived and and sadly the driver of the car was found deceased a short time later.
