    A pedestrian has critical injuries after being hit by a car on Tamaki Drive in Auckland tonight.

    The woman was walking her dogs when she was hit by a car outside the Kohimarama Yacht Club at around 6.15pm on the 25th of September 2017.

    One of the dogs was killed.

    Emergency services are responding to a three car crash on State Highway 16 near Kennedys Road, Kumeu.

    Two people have critical injuries and will be flown to hospital by helicopter.

    State Highway 16 is closed in both directions.
