    Police are at the scene of a serious crash on Longlands Road, Hastings.

    Emergency services were called to the two car collision near Te Aute Road at midday.

    Chamberlains, Coes and Whitecliffs campgrounds will be closed today at 6pm due to the heavy rains and wind predicted in Selwyn caused by ex-cyclone Gita. Heavy rain is forecast and may cause the Selwyn River levels to rise significantly.
