‘Like Mike’ is all about telling it how it is! So from me you’ll get nothing but straight to the point, open and honest film/DVD, music, restaurant and adventure tourism reviews, 150 words or less or your money back guaranteed! Not that you’re paying for them, but you get the point!
So if you want to know if that film currently screening at the cinemas is worth seeing, that DVD sitting on the video store shelf is worth buying or renting, if that new CD is bad-ass, or if that restaurant or adventure tourism spot that’s just opened down the road is good value, then I’ll give you 150 words to help make up your mind, one way or the other!
So have a read, share, like, and just spread the word to help the people know what’s what! Even this profile was 150 words or less! Bam!
For a chance to win any of the DVD's, Blu-Ray's or CD's I review, e-mail likemike@nzblokes.co.nz to go in the draw!
The last 'Twilight' film was horrible, just horrible, in that awesome kind of way. Yeah, doesn't make sense to me either. Bad acting, bad directing, bad visual effects, and bad writing, which felt like a 13 year old girl had written it, just made for a laughable movie, which I did often. But!
I hate missing my press screenings for films, and this movie was one of them, but I made sure I kept an eye out for its general release, and despite having to actually pay to see it this time, I was looking forward to seeing it.
When I first saw 'Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter' at its press screening earlier in the year, I went in thinking I'd see a fun film along the lines of 'Wanted', which is from the same director. I came out second guessing my love of that film, as this follow up film was so damn average!
I’m not exactly a nature documentary film fan, though I don’t mind watching them, it’s just seeing animals eat and have sex with each other isn’t exactly how I like to spend my viewing experiences.
The History Channel's special 'Doomsday 2012: The End Of Days' more than anything made me realize how much of a business doomsday prophecies are, and that once the 21st of December 2012 comes and goes, these shows and books on the 2012 subject will suddenly lose all value, both physically and men
'History Of The World In Two Hours' was a damn good watch, and seeing it all squeezed together in such a quick time makes you realize how everything is so intrinsically connected, from the beginnings of the universe till today.
'Skyfall', though not my favourite Bond film, as that still goes to the near perfect 'Casino Royale' from 1967...just kidding, I mean the 2006 version. But, what makes 'Skyfall' stand out from any other Bond film I've seen is that it's not like any other Bond film before it.
A New Zealand fimmaker is trying to raise money to finish the post production on their documentary film 'Eat Some Ice Creams! Do Some Boms!', and it looks like it's the perfect summer time film! It also stars James Rolleston, the kid from 'Boy' and the Vodafone commercials!
Ben Affleck was not only great in ‘The Town’, I was stunned to see how good he was directing it! So his follow up feature was always going to have high standards to live up to.
