On behalf of Leukaemia & Blood Cancer New Zealand (LBC) Governance Board, Pene Milne is delighted to announce the appointment of Tim Edmonds as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Effective from 30th January, Edmonds will be joining LBC.
With 8 Kiwis diagnosed every day with a blood cancer in New Zealand, the need to support more people is critical. As the national charity dedicated to supporting Kiwis and their whanau, LBCNZ knows more people out there need us.
Edmonds brings a range of experience to the role. He has a proven track record within both the health and philanthropic sector. He brings a wealth of knowledge of research, health services and partnership approaches to improve health outcomes for communities.
In Edmonds’s words, “I am honoured and excited to join LBC. The impact of this organisation on the lives of patients and their families is inspiring, and I am eager to build upon the incredible work that Peter and the team at LBC have already done.”
Milne said: “Tim’s experience will be invaluable to our ongoing development, adding to the enormous achievements these past 6 years lead by Peter Fergusson, retiring CEO.
With our ‘Vision to Cure and Mission to Care’, Tim’s experience will extend on the strategic outcomes for the increase of services and research programmes in NZ”
